About Me:ShowMy 15 years of teaching music, as well as many other subjects, has led me to believe that anyone can learn to do anything well, if they truly desire to excel at it. I have the passion to teach anyone who truly wishes to learn the language and art of music. My students have ranged in age from 3 to 70. Anyone can learn to play music. There is nothing mysterious about learning to read and play music, or to play music by hear, for that matter. I approach each student as an individual who has certain strengths. I first like to build on those strengths and make my students feel successful. After this has occurred, it is time to work on areas where a student might not be as strong, and help bring those aspects of their musical understanding along. I look forward to speaking with you soon about your musical dreams either for yourself or for your child.
Styles: Classical, Celtic
Ages: Elementary School, Pre-teen, Teenage, Adult
Availability: I teach out if my professional studio in the city of Berkeley and I travel and teach in almost every city in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Education: Master of Education (MA), San Jose State University [2004]
