About Me:ShowMy approach to teaching is first and foremost based on the student having an enjoyable, positive musical experience. I tend to teach more conceptually as opposed to a rigorous program of specific exercises. I believe that technical study is important and necessary, but that it should be done in a manner which is fun and enjoyable for the student. I believe that the music lesson should be something the student looks forward to and is excited about.

My first classroom teaching experience was at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge. I worked for the Boys and Girls Club for three years. In addition, I worked for several summer camp enrichment programs for Mount Carmel BC and Southern University (Project SU-PASS).
