About Me:
Voice Lessons are taught to encourage students to reach their individual singing goals and develop a life-long love of music and singing. Singing is fun and together we will choose music that you enjoy working on and also incorporate new styles as well. I expect students to practice 20-60 minutes each day between lessons and require flexibility, concentration and willingness to try new vocal sounds during lessons.

A melisma occurs when a singer switches pitch while singing the same syllable. It is used heavily in baroque vocal music, as well as to a somewhat lesser extent in popular music.
