Joshua H., Voice Teacher, Dupage County
(773) 360-0204
About Me:
I want my students to become well-rounded musicians. As a result, I use a comprehensive approach with them, teaching not only how to perform a piece of music, but also about other aspects relating to a piece such as music theory and music history. This means that the students are not simply performance machines; instead, they are musically intelligent, capable of critically analyzing music in order to make informed choices and decisions about music performance.
Styles:
Classical, Opera, Musical Theatre
Subjects:
Harmony, Theory, Ear Training, Songwriting, Music Technology
Ages:
Elementary School, Pre-teen, Teenage

Vibrato is a technique used by singers (and many instrumentalists; for instance, string instruments that are played with a bow can produce vibrato tones) in which a sustained note actually wavers very quickly and consistently between a very slightly higher and a lower pitch, giving the note a slight quaver.
