About Me:ShowLearning music should be fun, challenging, and ultimately rewarding for both the student and the teacher. I like to work with the student first to determine what their goals would be, or what they want to learn and gain from the lessons. Then we work together learning the fundamentals of the instrument and how to read music. We play songs and pieces to make the music exciting and utilize our fundamentals and theory. With daily practice, patience and hard work from the student and teacher, the student will reach their goals successfully.

About Me:ShowMy teaching philosophy centers itself around performing and improvisation. In order to interpret the music, a player must be able to improvise in the style of the piece, whether it be Jazz or Classical or Folk Rock, etc. Students must have an outlet in which to express themselves, otherwise the music they learn is meaningless. Thus, I provide opportunities for my students to play with and for one another in the form of rehearsals and recitals.
