About Me:
Graduated with bachelor's degree of Music from Musashino Academia Musicae and received his graduate degree from Toho Gakuen School of Music both in his native country, Japan. He taught the flute at the Yamaha Music Foundation for eight years before he came to study in Boston. Mr. Kano graduated from the Boston Conservatory. Recently, he won the 1st prize at the Houston flute club, Denise Jennings Memorial Solo & Ensemble Competition Professional level, and was selected as one of five finalists of the Byron Hester memorial competition.

Following the 16th century court music, concert flutes began appearing in chamber ensembles. These flutes were often tuned to the key of D, and used as the tenor voice.
