About Me:ShowMy primary goals are to make sure the student a) finds passion in playing and b) has the necessary skills to match their own goals. I primarily use the Suzuki Method but in tandem I use additional materials such as scales, etudes and sight reading in every lesson. The most important aspect of playing is patience! Parents, teacher and student all need to have this.

About Me:ShowA liberal arts education enabled me to build a foundation in a variety of disciplines. The versatility of this foundation has played a vital role in my musical life. Throughout my undergraduate years I also actively participated in track and field at the varsity level. My approach to teaching reflects the way I view myself as a musician. I expect a high quality of practicing and discipline, but I also expect students to enjoy other activities and bring these experiences into their musicianship.
