"One Viola Teacher, hold the crust please!"
Why waste your time with a teacher that turns learning the viola into something more like taking the SATs?
The viola teachers you'll find here at Encore Music Lessons are not only highly qualified, they're also fun!
We devote our time and energy to matching students with teachers that are just right for them. If you just give us a little basic information we can set you up with an excellent teacher within a couple days. If you'd like to add your own input, you can go to our comprehensive Teacher Directories and find the instructor that's right for you.
Our students got an opportunity this year to play the viola in front of a crowd at our annual spring recital.
We've got some videos from the NY Spring Recital. If you'd like to watch, just click here.
Unlike most other companies, Encore Music Lessons doesn't lock you into any kind of semester or lesson-term contract, so you have the freedom to start and stop lessons when you want.
So that the lessons stay purely musical, Encore Music Lessons takes care of all the payment and billing. In this way teachers and students can have a purely musical relationship.
To ensure that you get the most from your viola lessons, you can choose to receive instruction at your home, your workplace, or at a teacher's studio nearby.
Take lessons with us and leave the crust for the birds!

For centuries, viola makers have experimented with the size and shape of the viola, often compensating by tweaking the proportions or shape of the instrument in order to make an instrument with a shorter scale length and lighter weight, but which still has a large enough sound box to create the unmistakable "viola sound."
