About Me:
I believe that every voice student should have a solid foundation in Classical Technique. With a complete toolbox, you will be able to make stylistic decisions that are healthy, and can be supported and maintained over time. Part of every lesson will be spent on technique, and I will give you a tailored set of vocalizes that you can use in your daily practice to expand your vocal range and stamina. Please bring any music that you would like to work on- I will also gladly make rep suggestions!

  • Private lessons: Westlake High School, Austin TX Taught students grade 9-12. Prepared them for solo contests, as well as the District, Region and State Choir Auditions. Every student had the opportunity to participate in 2 of my studio recitals each year. [2005 - 2007]
  • Teaching Assistant Musical Theater Workshop: University of Rochester. Musically prepared, coached students. Staged several scenes. [2001 - 2002]

About the Piano

Viennese-style pianos were built with wood frames, two strings per note, and had leather-covered hammers. Some of these Viennese pianos had the opposite coloring of modern-day pianos; the natural keys were black and the accidental keys white.
