Jacob V., Trumpet Teacher, Brooklyn
(718) 608-6080
About Me:
I learn as much as I can about the student, getting them to open up thru humor and discussing interests besides music. If something is bothering them it's going to effect their concentration. I want them to feel that music can be a way to channel their feelings into something that provides release. I believe that sometimes the best thing for a student is to have a witness while he/she works out an idea. The basis of this relationship is that I want them to feel that they can attempt things that are beyond their reach.

The oldest trumpets date back to 1500 BC and earlier. The bronze and silver trumpets from Tutankhamun's grave in Egypt, bronze lurs from Scandinavia, and metal trumpets from China date back to this period.
