About Me:
I like to combine all aspects of music education, not just technique and music reading, into my teaching approach. Often times, students are simply handed a book and are told to play. These students do not get introduced to theory, ear-training, pitch recognition, composition, performance techniques, general musicality, and fundamental setup (breathing, embouchere, finger/hand position). By combining these topics with high level instrumental technique training, I bring out the best in a student.

In its most basic form, a flute can be an open tube which is blown like a bottle. There are several broad classes of flutes. With most flutes, the musician blows directly across the edge of the mouthpiece.
