Jason W., Viola Teacher, NYC
(212) 537-6746
About Me:
I make it my first priority to understand how each individual student most easily learns, while drawing on very specific and time-tested methods for teaching technique and repertoire. Most importantly, though, I believe that the most conducive environment for learning is one in which, above all, the student is never afraid to make mistakes, and, in fact, welcomes the inevitable hurdles and challenges in discovering the instrument as part of a process self-discovery and musicianship.

Viola lesson Gift Certificates make great gifts. You can get them in packages of 4, 6, 8, 12, or 16 lessons.
If you need the certificate instantly we can send it to you by email as a PDF file. If you'd prefer the old-fashioned way, we'd be glad to mail it either to you or to the person who'll be taking lessons.
Unless the violist is gifted with especially large hands, different fingerings are often used, including frequent use of half position and shifting position, where on the violin staying in one place would suffice.
