About Me:ShowI am passionate about music, teaching, and performing. I aim to bring my knowledge of performance, improvisation, and love of playing to my students hearts. I focus on relentless positvity with all my students. My aim is to foster a positive relationship that will bring out the true artist/musician in those that I teach. I will bring a balance with my teaching techniques, focusing on building weaknesses and utilizing strengths to overcome challenges. All of my students ranging from beginning and up see remarkable improvements within a few months. I will focus in depth on the fundamentals of flute technique, ranging from breathing and relaxation techniques, posture, embouchure, the throat and vibrato, dynamics, range, intonation, ear-training, and various practicing exercises. I specialize in classical, beginning music theory, and performance. All lessons are age/level appropriate. We can cover beginning basics to more advanced approaches of overcoming stage-fright and improvising. Most of all, I enjoy having a FUN time with all of those who are eager to express themselves in this wonderful art form of music!!!! Lets play some FLUTE!!!

The Western concert flute, a descendant of the 19th-Century German flute, is a transverse flute which is closed at the top. Near the top is the embouchure hole, across and into which the player blows.
