Cello Lessons in Gramercy, NY
(212) 537-6746
In a lot of ways, having one-on-one cello lessons with a private teacher beats taking them in a class. When you take lessons in a class setting it's not unusual to find yourself falling behind. With private cello lessons your teacher can concentrate on you specifically by answering your questions about topics like reading music, bowing technique and playing arpeggios.

Student Reviews
Natalie is a wonderful teacher! She has really helped me build my foundation and knowledge in singing (from breathing to shape of the mouth to ear training to the sound). With all the exercises and practices that she's given me, it has really built my confidence in my singing. In only a couple of months, not only can I tell the difference but also my fellow singers and choir director! I can't say enough great things about her! I've told strangers, friends, everyone about her wonderful teaching! Whether you're singing as a hobby or a career, Natalie is truly a must have teacher!!
Catherine - Bronx, NY Teacher: Natalie W.About the Cello
The cello developed from the bass violin, first referred to by Jambe de Fer in 1556, which was originally a three-string instrument. The first instance of a composer specifying the bass violin may have been Gabrieli in Sacrae symphoniae, 1597.
