No Commitments
At Encore Music Lessons we understand very well that students need flexibility. We won't ask you to pay up front for a certain amount of lessons, or agree to a term contract.
It's no wonder then that more people take lessons on the guitar than any other instrument. Maybe you've been thinking about taking lessons too, but you're a little overwhelmed by how much there is to learn. That's why it's important to have a good teacher to break things down and help you understand at your own pace. At Encore Music Lessons we help students to get in touch with experienced instructors.
Where Lessons Are Held
Depending on what's best for you, lessons can be given in your home or at a teacher's studio nearby.
Beginning students can learn basics like playing open chords, using strumming patterns, and playing simple songs. Intermediate students can focus on topics like improvisation using pentatonic scales, bar chords, and picking technique. Advanced students may want to examine the music of specific artists, or learn to play a particular style.
All Students are Welcome
Students of all ages and ability levels from total beginner to advanced are welcome to take lessons.
Whatever it is you're looking for, we want to help. Students are matched with teachers based on their location, schedule, ability level, and any other criteria that the student feels is relevant. The matching process generally takes a day, so most people can start lessons very soon after contacting us. If you'd like to find out more about us and how we work, please call us at 212-537-6746 or 800-417-4620.
Student Reviews
My daughter is four and has been taking piano lessons with Chris for a couple of months now. He has an amazing, calming ability to engage even the youngest learner. I have been most impressed with how much she has learned in such a short period and even more importantly, how much fun she is having learning to play. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone who wants their child to develop a love of music and the skills needed to play an instrument.

Guitars may be played acoustically, where the tone is produced by vibration of the strings and modulated by the hollow body, or they may rely on an amplifier that can electronically manipulate tone.
