Saxophone Lessons in NoHo, NY

Taking private saxophone lessons has its advantages over taking lessons in a class setting. When you take lessons in a class setting it's not unusual to find yourself falling behind. With private saxophone lessons you can pose questions about saxophone technique directly to your instructor.

Student Reviews
Laura started teaching my son (10 years old) about 6 months ago. He has made a lot of progress in this time, and Laura did a great job teaching him. Laura is very professional & knowledgeable and obviously has a strong musical academic background, but she also manages to communicate very well with my son and make the lessons fun - every week he is looking forward to meet her and learn new things. I strongly recommend Laura as a Drum teacher.
YUVAL - ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ Teacher: Laura J.About the Saxophone
Like clarinets, saxophones use a single reed. Saxophone reeds are proportioned slightly differently to clarinet reeds, being wider for the same length. Each size of saxophone (alto, tenor, etc.) uses a different size of reed.
