(212) 537-6746
Learning to play the music of great players like Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker and Lenny Pickett can be a blast. By taking saxophone lessons and practicing what you have learned, you can gain a skill to last the rest of your life. Naturally there's a lot of complexity to the saxophone, so you'll need a good teacher to help you understand things like tone control, articulation excersises and playing Charlie Parker tunes.

Student Reviews
I took lessons with Frankie this year, and due to the economy had to stop, and I was bummed. I love his approach to starting you out right from the notes and getting you to understand the guitar in all aspects. He has a gentle soul, which helps when you are learning and keep making mistakes! I would highly recommend Frankie for anyone looking to learn or better their playing!

Like clarinets, saxophones use a single reed. Saxophone reeds are proportioned slightly differently to clarinet reeds, being wider for the same length. Each size of saxophone (alto, tenor, etc.) uses a different size of reed.
