Above the expectations

Although I do have prior knowledge of basic piano skills, I have had no idea how to approach the blues and jazz spectrum. Luckily for me, I got connected with Glafkos through Encore and he has been teaching me for a few months now. His lessons are always creative, interesting and fun. He has tremendous talent as a teacher and as a performer. His teaching methods are wide in variety: from basic foundation techniques to creative jamming sessions. He is very patient and personable. He manages to show how to turn a simple tune into "bluesy" version without making the process boring and overly repetitive. We play by reading music sheets and also by simply listening to a tune and instantly performing in on a piano. Glafkos is teaching me for several months now and I am looking forward to everyone of our lessons. He is inspiring, not imposing, and has tremendous amount of ideas and ways for making the learning process a lot of fun and helpful. I am very impressed and would recommend Glafkos as a teacher for everyone.

Julie - Forest Hills, NY Teacher: Glafkos K.
