About Me:
Every person hears music differently. Some have excellent rhythm, but have difficulty hearing the notes. Others may have superb technique, but find it difficult to translate the notes into phrases. Because each student is unique in their abilities, I approach teaching music much the same way a doctor diagnoses a patient. I listen carefully and respond with a lesson plan that places emphasis on both what the student wants to learn and where they need the most help.

I combine music theory, technique, improvisation, and ear training with many different styles of music (classical, blues, rock, jazz, and pop) to create a student that has a well rounded music education.
