Natalie also teaches piano
I believe anyone can learn to sing pleasantly. Not everyone can be Pavarotti, but anyone who can speak can learn to sing, at least to not be embarrassed singing happy birthday.
A specialist in musical theater and the music of the Great American Songbook, I was also an opera singer for 15 years. I am a true cross-over artist, equally comfortable teaching (and singing) classical repertoire as well as musical theater. While pop music is not my personal milieu, I have taught dozens of pop singers how to sing their music more healthfully and easily, while not losing their own personal style.
With a Masters Degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy and a Bachelors in Voice Performance and Music Education, I am particularly skilled with training the young voice. I have over 15 years of teaching experience, both in my private studio and at colleges, universities, and community music centers including the Long Island Conservatory where I taught adults as well as children ages 4 to 17.
I teach a classically-based technique, giving appropriate stylistic adjustments for musical theater, jazz or pop repertoire. I include music theory training in all my lessons, imparting a solid technical and musical foundation for whatever style of music you want to pursue. I also offer combination voice and piano lessons, which I strongly encouraged for any students who do not already play piano.

A must have teacher!! - November 21, 2011
By Catherine - Bronx, NY, Voice Lessons
Natalie is a wonderful teacher! She has really helped me build my foundation and knowledge in singing (from breathing to shape of the mouth to ear training to the sound). With all the exercises and practices that she's given me, it has really built my confidence in my singing. In only a couple of months, not only can I tell the difference but also my fellow singers and choir director! I can't say enough great things about her! I've told strangers, friends, everyone about her wonderful teaching! Whether you're singing as a hobby or a career, Natalie is truly a must have teacher!!
Amazing Teacher! - November 5, 2011
By Beverly Du - NYC, NY, Voice Lessons
I've been with Natalie for over a year. I have no vocal experience prior to coming to her. She is incredible at tailoring lessons to exactly your level. She has many students who are professional and they love her as well. She finds great analogies and examples to help me learn things that are so difficult to teach otherwise.
She's always supportive but challenges me at the same time. She also helps develop my goals in singing as well and helps me come up with new projects to tackle.
I always walk out of a lesson feeling inspired and excited. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone at any level of experience.
Voice lessons with Natalie Wilson - January 16, 2010
By Amber Rivera, Voice Lessons
Since I began working with Natalie Wilson three months ago, I have noticed a significant difference in my voice. I now have a new sense of proper vocal placement and breath support and she has given me numerous tools to help me with my audition material. Each week I look forward to my session with Natalie because I always discover something new!
