About Me:
Drummer and composer Rossen Nedelchev was born in 1981 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2000 Rossen enrolled in New Bulgarian University(NBU), majoring in jazz performance. For the next 6 years he played with some of the finest musicians in Sofia, participating in different projects, recordings, videos and festivals. After graduating NBU in 2006, Rossen moved to New York City to continue his education at Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. He received his Graduate Diploma in December 2008. Rossen has studied with Kendrick Scott, Art Hirahara, Sean Moran and Lance Murphy, just to name a few. In New York he has performed at The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Sullivan Hall, Crash Mansion, The Delancey and many other venues. Currently Rossen is a freelance musician in NYC, tours the United States and Canada with the Grammy nominated singer Jana Mashonee, teaches out of his private studio in Astoria, leads his jazz quartet and plays drums for: Elijah Bland, The Qualia and Marsha Heydt Quintet.
