Instruments: Voice

About Me:
I'm very passionate about teaching. I focus on a relaxed, healthy technique with students to help them find their best voice and what works best for them! Every person is different and has a unique instrument. Singing is the world's most beautiful language and I'm so happy to help others experience it! Here's a little bit about my experience.

Paul Betz is a singer, actor and teacher living and working in New York City. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida he attended Jacksonville University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre Performance. Throughout college Paul performed and worked at summer stock theaters across the country such as the College Light Opera Company working on his craft in between school years. He then went on to obtain a Masters of Music in Musical Theatre and Opera Performance at Arizona State University. While in Arizona Paul worked with several theatre companies including The Arizona Broadway Theatre and The Phoenix Theatre where he played Enjolras in Les Miserables. He then moved to New York where he performed with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players as Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, Ruddigore, and The Yeoman of the Guard at The New York City Center and Symphony Space. He performed in Barrington Stage Company’s production of Sweeney Todd starring Tony Award Winner Harriet Harris and Tony Nominee Jeff McCarthy. He has performed with Essential Voices USA and The New York Pops and was a featured soloist in The NY Pops 80th Birthday Concert for Stephen Sondheim at Carnegie Hall alongside Broadway’s Christianne Noll, Alexander Gemignani, Aaron Lazaar, and Kate Baldwin. Paul is also an experienced singing and acting teacher. He has taught across the country at different professional studios and theatre academies in Jacksonville, Florida and Phoenix, Arizona. In New York he has taught with four different studios including Dimensions on Stage, Applause, and Kathryn Brickell Music. He is a proud member of both Actor's Equity Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
